Hi~ Mi~ Tsu~♪!

sola

Matsuri-chan kawaii yo Matsuri-chan!

Noto-sama again proves her talents. The power of Noto-timespace is a dangerous one for certain people.

That aside, Matsuri is probably one of Noto’s most perfect characters yet, in terms of moé-ness. She’s cheerful, playful, mischievous, cute but yet she possesses a dark secret and probably a troubled past. I know it does sound clichéd, but this is really what I call moé.

Noto-sama banzai! Noto-sama banzai!

“Miyuki-san, GOOD JOB!”

Lucky Star

Kona-chan, GOOD JOB!

My heart skipped a beat when that happened from the moe overload.

Lucky Star is getting better and better and had me laughing from Tsukasa’s dojikko-ness, Kagami’s tsun-tsun-ness and Kona-chan’s otaku-ness (“Dakara… AI DA YO!”).

Also, the ED this time is Aaya-chan singing “Sore ga Ai deshou”, FMP? Fummofu’s OP theme. Here’s an audio rip I did, sadly the first 30 secs were obscured by the rest talking. I wonder will Aaya-chan release a compilation CD later XD.

Huge bed there, Nanoha.

Nanoha StrikerS

That surely sleeps more than one people there. I guess Nanoha and Fate already decided to go out in the open with their relationship :O.

Also, Nanoha is definitely an “oni-kyoshi” (devil teacher). Looks the the Forward Stars quartet are gonna have a hell of a time in their training exercises. Maa~~ I wish them luck.

Meido wa Pretty Cure!

Hayate the Combat Butler!

I died laughing. That was just fucking awesome. Period. Maria-san and Saki-san meido combo is the win.

God, I need more Hayate manga. The anime is good, but it just doesn’t feel the same as the manga.

Negima! 170

Negima!

*drools*

Yay! Evangeline-chan in her trademark gothloli style in full swing this chapter. More Asuna development also as she enters that “I thought I was strong but I’m not” phase typical of most shounen manga prior to the “power-up” stage.

“Kyou mo ichinichi…???”

Nagasarete Airantou

I swear, that on my first watch, when Suzu said that, I heard “Massugu GO!” instead. Darn.

Anyways, Suzu is made of total win. She’s just made of everything I loved Hocchan for. Suzu-chin kawaii desu yo Suzu-chin~~! Err… oops. Gotta stop calling her that. Say Cheese, the ED, is also getting stuck in my head along with Motteke! Sailor-fuku!

I’ll say that poor Ikuto is just plainly impossible to dislike, even if he’s a standard harem lead character type. Poor fella has to be the only guy and also the weakest person (probably) on the whole island, where everything is humongously whacked. I must say, the matsutake mushrooms are really quite… err.. huggable? Don’t think that’s the correct way to put it though ^^;;.

BTW, how come no one’s subbing Seto no Hanayome? It’s a damn good romantic comedy show in my opinion and it’s just plain weird no one’s subbing it.

Hard Work and Results

Lucky Star

Saa.. watch Lucky Star-dayo!

Yay! KyoAni has really picked up the pace with the 2nd episode of Lucky Star. A definitely a much more enjoyable episode than the last one. The episode was packing with many references and also direct showing of anime/manga and games, which was what I’ve been expecting from Lucky Star in the first place. Looks like KyoAni’s partnership with Sunrise (and by extension, Bandai) is paying off well. I was a bit surprised to see that Keroro Gunsou being featured prominently, along with Hare Hare Yukai in the Taiko game, the Full Metal Panic novels, the magazines and also Shuffle’s Sia being directly included in.

I also liked the split screen technique used by Kyo Ani prominently for the first 5 minutes of the episode, nicely using it for the Hiiragi twins, showcasing their different lifestyles. Konata doesn’t fail as well, and she supplies a lot of laughs, but did anyone feel that she was jabbing in quite a bit much when she was commenting about how the cast of the Drama CD’s and Anime tend to differ nowadays. Being an otaku who has felt disappointment on this topic a few times (imagine Noto-sama doing Suigintou :o!), I felt that it was a nice jab XD.

Also, Akira doesn’t fail to disappoint this time as her split personalities do not fail to entertain me. Also, I totally busted my gut laughing when Minoru Shiraishi did his “Wa-wa-wa-wasure..” song ‘accidentally’ while introducing himself. Damn, that was funny XD. Akira just so nicely parodies the ‘Idol’ concept in a very awesome manner.

The ED had Konata doing another karaoke of a sentai song again, and it seems the next one is also another sentai song. This concept, I have to say, must be one of the most creative ED perhaps. Come to think of it, they can save a lot by recycling that little bit of animation and use it to pay the seiyuu’s more! Ingenious. Can’t wait for Konata to reach the anime songs!

Also, what is with the Lucky Star previews… it’s so weird, yet somehow….funky(?), with the seiyuus saying something that matches the mouth movements so accurately, yet totally unrelated at all.

P.S. /r/ Kona-chan’s part time job experiences next week.

“Zurui yo..”

Noto-sama BANZAI! Shihou Matsuri is now amongst my favourite Noto Mamiko roles. It’s just refreshing to see her voice Matsuri-chan in a way that expresses her carefree nature, yet with a maturity that acknowledges her own situation.

A woman’s jealousy over boob size is not to be underestimated….

Nagasarete Airantou

… wait, in this case it should be “girl”, right? Oh well.

Glad to see that the Airantou anime is heading towards the right direction, in terms of humour and fanservice. Even more enjoyable, must I say, is Hocchan’s performance of Suzu, which somehow hits all the right buttons with me. It’s like as if a combo of all of my favourite Hocchan characters being rolled in to one neat package that is Suzu. Really makes me reminisce back on my Love Hina days, of where I first fell in love with her voice and subsequently in to anime as well.

Ah looking forward for more hijinks next week, and I must say, Ikuto is really one, poor, tortured soul, even by the standards of a multitude of ecchi series that I’ve read. Ayane and Machi are especially an awesome combo.
