Ep 2 is better than ep 1, but only because the low points are better and/or shorter in ep 2. KyoAni did a good job with most of the ep this time around. The splitscreen, arcade, and classroom sequences were fine up until “that” conversation. At which point I started praying for Lucky Channel to start. I hope Minoru gets a bunch of lines in the main segment soon, just so I can see Akira REALLY tee off on him.

Oh, and, eyecatches? In my KyoAni show?

I too didn’t notice a huge difference between episode 1 and 2. I just think people really want to bust out a reference to Haruhi episode 1 being misleading and episode 2 cementing the series since people are kind of obsessed with comparing everything to that show, ESPECIALLY anything with Aya Hirano in it. I knew this subject would come up as soon as episode 2 aired. On AnimeSuki though the concensus is still that its light 4Koma comedy.

I also liked the split screen technique used by Kyo Ani prominently for the first 5 minutes of the episode, nicely using it for the Hiiragi twins, showcasing their different lifestyles

Wow, I really have to take a look at this. The only time I've ever seen such a technique masterfully done was on Coupling, a british show, and that was almost 6 years ago. It would be nice to see such a thing performed on anime.

Also, I totally busted my gut laughing when Minoru Shiraishi did his “Wa-wa-wa-wasure..” song ‘accidentally’ while introducing himself

OMG I can't believe they did it :D. Now all those nay-sayers can go fsck themselves, this totally proves that the show is pure WIN.

Apparently Minoru Shiraishi is voiced by Minoru Shiraishi… :3
