Negima 169

Negima

Finally some real development! KonoSetsu chuu~~ chuu~~ XD!

Haha, anyways, the clincher of this chapter is more bits of Asuna’s past being revealed to us, and it seems she’s some kind of princess. Her real name’s revealed too, and if Evangeline Athanasia “Kitty” Katherine McDowell was long… Asuna’s one is even better :P.

Negima

Also, thank heavens for the new arc getting started finally. I have to admit, the Chao arc got dragged on too long without much “real” development, and the arc’s closure brought on more questions than anything, making it feel more like a “side quest” than part of the main plot. There’s already much pressing questions that I, as a fan, would like to see answers to, such as Asuna’s past, Nagi’s true fate and more of the AAA. I’m glad to see that Akamatsu is going back on track, especially since the other Negima media is really sucky and the manga is still where the real story is.

Louise Françoise le Blanc de la Vallière still reigns supreme! XD

(Well, outside Negima’s universe, of course)

Another fragment of Asuna’s missing memory… interesting. Now we know that there’s more to her than meets the blue and brown eyes. :P

Hopefully the next arc will be lots better than the Festival arc.

The festival arc wasn’t that bad, it just dragged on too long imo. Well I hope the next arc will be better. I’m very intrested in the thousand master’s adventuers and stuff, it’s funny how everyone labels him the thousand master but he needs notes to remeber high level spells

I need to do some Negima catch up. I grabbed all those recently scanlated chapters, but I haven’t really had a chance to read anything since the Chao arc ended. I’m hoping this next arc limits the number of characters getting involved. Akamatsu just needs to stay focused on the story at hand and spend less time trying to give time to everyone else.

    KonoSetsu 4TW!! :)

Unless you have some kind of photographic memory… remembering a thousand intricate spell chants is going to be really hard. I don’t blame it to Nagi for using a notebook to remember the chants. Besides, the chants are the easiest part anyways, you still need to learn how to cast the spell correctly and channel the right amounts of magic, etc. etc.
