Kaleido star is amazing. It has so many characters and feelings we can relate too. It is very much like a fantasy style of Cirque Du Soleil. It shows how working to acheive your dreams and ignoring what down comments people may send you can make you soar. I personally love the english version because Sandra did a wonderful voice for Layla and directed it oh so beautifully too. Her snobbish voice fit Layla. Cynthia did fantastic with Sora too. I mean Sora isn't really mature in the sense she looks at things with a childish perspective alot. So Cynthia's voice fit wonderfully! Kaleido star is definantly a must see for dreamers, anime fans, and people new to anime! Kudos!

Does the second wings series ever get any better? I liked the original series, but it seems as of episode 33 the show has skyrocketed downward in quality (and May Wong may be the most annoying character in years).

What i found vastly amusing in Kaleido Star was that all of the newspapers say "US presence in Iraq draws eyes" in english. Seriously, go check.

Ahh~~ Finally... found more comrades who knows how to appreciate good anime. Seriously, this under-rated anime is much better than all those freaking over-rated anime out there such as BLEACH and NARUTO. (No offense... but is a fact that most have come to acknowledge seeing how words like "BLEACHY and NARUTARD" comes to existance...

Shame to those who 'judge the anime by it's dvd covers'. I've finish the anime about 2-3 years ago and yes it have always been my favourite even after all these years. Well not like April 2007 doesn't have it's own attractions... but sincerely you can never find an anime as good as Kaleido Star which is the best in it's own genre. I can recall the moment of thrilling and excitement whenever there's a stage performance, the time I spent watching ep by ep is heavenly to a person like me who addicted to stage performances even realities....

I'm a proud fan but I regret the fact that I've still struggling to debate if I should ever buy the DVD... (I watch it from my friend's DVD) As I recall in the market here in my country, Kaleido Star is simply just too expansive. It worth a month of my Meal Expenses... how I wish I'm a bit richer...

Definitely one of my favourite anime series. I started watching when it was still going on so really had a hard time at one point when it was licensed. I enjoyed the first season(1-26) more than the second one simply because the dynamic between Sora and Layla was awesome to watch. And yeah, the OVA brought tears to my eyes as well. The 2nd one was cute but a little dissappointing.

Anyways, I heard there was a new season where the main character is Rosetta and it takes place in space. It's kinda AU I think.

Anonene....

Kubota Nami knows how to create a good atmosphere with it music, not for nothing her talent was used in Kaleido Star, ARIA the Animation, ARIA the Natural, Kannazuki no Miko and Kyoshiro no Towa no Sora OSTs. All very good scores.

Kaleido Star is one "feel-good" anime, and is definitely in my all-time favorites list.

Not to mention that the soundtrack is really good. Actually, what got me into watching this is the 2nd OP, "Yakusoku no Basho e", and more when I heard the 3rd one, "Tattoo Kiss".

I love when you do a series review. you "made" me watch a couple of shows so far, and I have definitely enjoyed watching them. I got quite a few anime shows I would like to see first, but I'm adding Kaleido Star to my "to watch list" :)

Yeah, I started watching Kaleido Star, and at first it didn't seem all that interesting to me either, but then I started getting attached to it as well, and pretty soon, I was waiting impatiently for Netflix to send me the next disc. Afterwards I thought "you know, I never thought I'd like an anime series about a circus," but, what will you do?
