SECRET AMBITION

Nanoha StrikerS

Needless to say, I cried. I’d put up some caps, but all the raws seem to be of the same quality, from the 30MB .flv to the infamous 500MB one, so might as well not put it up.

Secret Ambition is really awesome, another showcase of Nana-chan’s awesome vocals paired with an action-packed opening sequence that should clearly show off StrikerS as a fully action-oriented show, but I do hope they will still have good enough character development and a good plot to go along with it since the powers of over-commercialization tend make shows -10 plot and -10 character development. Oh, by the way, that mysterious character in the OP really looks like Rider from F/SN, only 10 years younger. I’d wager she’s another Lost Logia.

Show itself was awesome, starting right off with Subaru and Tiana’s Mage Grade B Examination, of which they have to pass through an obstacle field of sorts. Tiana’s Mirage Cross was awesome and I didn’t expect it to be actually stealth orientated, with Tiana having a mastery over invisibility and illusional magic, a section of magic that was less focused on in the previous Nanoha shows. Subaru’s dual devices give her really awesome offensive capabilities and one must wonder how many cartridges Revolver Knuckle can store. Didn’t expect Subaru to copy Nanoha’s Divine Buster though, but it’s actually quite cool how she executes it.

Also, I must say the Hoshizora no Spica is my favorite Nanoha series ED already. Spiritual Garden and Little Wish never did appeal to me that much… too sugary sweet I guess.

EDIT: After watching the subs, I must comment that the writer(s) might like Airgear a bit too much… Subaru’s “Wing Road” for the lol.

As if there could ever be such a thing as too sugary sweet.

Yeah, this looks really good XD

Teana hasn’t gotten Cross Mirage yet though. She’s using an unnamed Storage Device anchor gun for now. Mach Caliber’s not there yet either.

Also.. it’s quite possible that Wing Road was named after this:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Wingroad

(also possibly a reference to super robot show Combattler V’s Grand Dasher attack where it creates an energy road and transforms into a vehicle mode to ram the enemy)

Me aswell. Yesy just announced that they were subbing this as they released the first episode.

I really loved how the first episode played. The opening has a awesome fast pace to it. Juts like A’s opening (which was also good).

The voice changes were good. You can still tell that the voices apart easy. But they sound a (little) bit more mature.

I agree Kurogane the ending is probably even my favorite of the Nanoha series.

Next episode appears to be more focused on the Nanoha,Fate,Hayate side of the story (this episode was just Subaru and Tiana exam pass with a few camos of the original main characters).

    Wonder where Yuuno is at….

Would I understand this series if i don’t watch the other two? Or do I have to watch the other two .___.

    Furuba:

Yes and no. No because there are some characters that have some very background that you should know about, and the entire worlds introduction is somehwta important. And Fate’s introduction in the 1st series is just cool to watch.

But for an interesting experience you could watch this 3rd series for a while and then watch the 1st and 2nd seasons later. Though I don’t recommend it.

    So actually just no.

    @Furuba:

I second Avisch’s suggestion about watching the first two series. It’s true that you won’t be missing anything plot-wise, but its the character development that really counts in the first two seasons. Plus it’s nice to reminisce about loli Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate. =D

Strange, Yuno and Arf can’t be found on the character page of the main site…
No VA’s to act their part maybe?

I don’t know if it was just me but… don’t you guys find it strange that she had to use Divine Buster (+ cartridges) to blow a hole out of the burning airport right in the beginning?

Look in her hair, she has a ribbon, which means she has infinite cartridges… ( ups I play too much )

I don’t know why but when A’s finished, the character design was a bit awkward ( delolified T_T ) but now it seems fine. Anyway, this is a GREAT season !

Yeah, it seemed like she did a good amount of damage of the building just to get out of it. I’m wondering why she couldn’t have left with Subaru the way that she came in.
