I wasn't angry or entirely disappointed at the Ayu ending. But a decent part of my mind really doesn't like the Ayu ending. I think Nayuki desrved more time in the series. Only the opening episodes 1-6 really gave her some good time.

~~Nayuki you will always be in my heart

"Keropi yu wa koko........Sochite! Watashi wa koko!"

That's from episode 12 I think.

>>P.S. Watched Kanon 24. Still don’t like Ayu ending :P.

Agreed. In fact, this series would have been better if it had ended at episode 23, with a kiss instead of a pan-up (because then it would be a Nayuki ending!).

Episode 24, although it sticks to the original, seems out of place with the way KyoAni paced the first two arcs. They could have fit an entire second season of episodes in-between 23 and 24 (preferably a season centered around Nayuki!)

Still, the fact that Ayu has to disappear and reappear multiple times only to cause Yuuichi and others unnecessary grief only makes her a brat. If she only disappeared once and stayed with Yuuichi until the end or just disappeared permanently, I would have respected her a bit more. After all, disappearing permanently with the trade-off of having Yuuichi and the other girls happy (4 out of 5 arcs isn't bad) would really show Ayu's altruism. Thus, the audience could be left to speculate as to which girl Yuuichi actually ends up with (Which would be Nayuki, of course).

>>It was fortold in the manga anyway. Now some hillbilly love with nayuki would had been fun, but hey Ayu won coz she fell off a tree?

Ayu won because Yuuichi can't handle Nayuki's Unlimited Moe Works.
