red finale

OH MY GOD!! SAWATARI MIKURU BANZAI!! BANZAI!! BANZAI!!

Thank god for her, I might actually just cry if she didn’t appear this episode. At least it makes the Makoto cameo make some sense rather than just some random cheesy sequence.

Still this episode was good. I totally take back my statement about Yuuichi in my previous entry. He was awesome in this episode, especially in those two scenes. Man I really could feel the feelings flowing out like mad.

So what two scenes?

First, Yuuichi’s reunion with Ayu at the tree stump. Even though I still can’t say I’m an Ayu fan, but she was really touching at this scene, really, really touching, especially when she says her initial last wish for Yuuichi. Yuuichi really scored a lot of points by making her take that back and hugging her as she disappears.

The other scene is where Nayuki finally regains her composure and goes out to look for Yuuichi, finding him at the infamous bench. I can’t deny I went T_T when she said “We’re even.”… Nayuki’s almost-breaking voice at this scene… really conveyed a lot of feelings… both happy and sad. Also, I can’t deny she god damned looks like Akiko in that scene.

And, oh, to Guncannon, Kaori saying “Shiori will die” is a good sign, okay! No need to kill her for that.

I was thinking the same thing too. That, and that Nayuki looked really good in that scene.

Aww, I heard they kissed in the previous Kanon… Can’t wait for the last episode, where all loose ends are tied…

Poor Nayuki, she gets so little loving…

    Oh yeah, forgot to add…

Funny how the background of those two scenes fits the repective girl so well… Must be the hair color and all…

    Most likely intentional, of course.

Chaos: They did, but KyoAni has tried to avoid incest in this particular series by removing that extra detail that Toei threw into theirs.

And damn, but Mikoto looks bloody good when she helps get Yuiichi put back together there. Pity we don’t see more of her… or of the other girls up till this point.

Well, with the bench scene it looked like they were going to kiss until the Suzumiya-Episode-00-Kyon-style “Wait, we’re ending with a pan up, too?”

Still, because the amount of action Yuuichi gets from each girl increases with each arc:

    1. Makoto – Sharing the same bed
    2. Mai – Dances, shoulder leans and hugs
    3. Shiori – Holding hands, kiss on the cheek
    4. Ayu – Holding hands, making out

Assuming Nayuki is technically the last arc, I would not be surprised if the next episode involved Nayuki/Yuuichi together in bed, with Strawberry, Melon, Grape and Kiwi left laying on the floor…

Quick, include it into Episode 24 or super-secret Episode 25, NOW!

    A very nice episode.
Gives the calm feeling that I enjoy about Kanon. The end of this episode with Nayuki is my favorite part. Though Makoto’s appearance was also touching.

Last episode will have….well you know from the person who’s narrating the preview.

I probably have more to say.

Heresy! The Shiori-chan Shineitai won’t stand for this!

There’s also a reference to the “fox and the grapes” track in this episode too. Try to see if you can spot it ;).

Man, that last scene made my shade a tear for Nayuki….

It is at the note that Makoto left for Yuuichi, lololololol. Fox and grapes pictures on the note. :D

    >> OH MY GOD!! SAWATARI MIKURU BANZAI!! BANZAI!! BANZAI!!

Sawatari Mikuru > Any other Kanon girl. True story.
I kita’ed when she spoke ^^ Scratch that, I kita’ed during the whole scene.

(So I go “moe” for foxy ladies… That’s good)

    >> Still this episode was good. I totally take back my statement about Yuuichi in my previous entry.

Being so infatuated for that midget… I still don’t want to take my statement back. Despite that, I did scream “DON’T KEEP THAT PROMISE!” at the screen when Ayu asked him to forget about her while crying…

    Meh. Yuuichi is a lolicon.

    >> Also, I can’t deny she god damned looks like Akiko in that scene.

    Good Times.

    >> They did, but KyoAni has tried to avoid incest in this particular series by removing that extra detail that Toei threw into theirs.

Bah, she is only his cousin, how can you guys call that incest >.

    Wha? Comment limit? Anyways…

I would get disgusted if it was sibling love, but I could care less if it’s cousin love.

BTW, Didn’t Yuuichi marry Makoto? He should have performed his husband duties… if you know what I mean ;D

I don’t see why it would be wrong to make Yuuichi an incestuous pervert with Nayuki, when he’s already a lolicon necrophiliac with Ayu.

“Yuuichi-kun – my body is still warm, isn’t it?!?”

Comment of the day. Made my day.

And stop making cousin love like a perverted thing… geez ¬¬

Yesss! Mai and Sayuri made a short appearance near he end of the episode. Also on a side note, I have never noticed it before until now, but Shiori actually makes a short appearance in Episode 1. After watching Episode 1 again (just felt like it) around 9:36 when Nayuki and Yuuichi are walking by the hospital, you can see Shiori walk by them with her mother. How’s that for little details?

You know, if Episode 24 didn’t exist, one could call it a Nayuki ending…

*waits for Kanon 24, but will watch it with eyes closed*
