She did 2A2BC and teleported away (and killed someone by jam-poisoning in the process). She probably did get hurt while practicing her truck-hurling somewhere afterwards, though.

The car crash was definitely much more exaggerated than the 2002 or game versions. Hell I didn’t remember about it at all. Hope they fix the “teleporting Akiko” part in the DVD’s though.

As for the episode counts, 23 won’t be the final one, it’s a very odd number to end the series with, and being in tune with the anime industry so long, it’s very very rare that production studios stray from the 12/13 or 24/26 episode count.

23’s title might sound very “final”, but it probably will end with a climax that spills over to the first half of 24, with the final half of that being epilogue of sorts. Then, knowing KyoAni, 25 and 26 will be recaps of the entire series, with 25 focusing on Makoto and Mai, while 26 will be Shiori, Ayu and Nayuki. I don’t really see what else will happen otherwise, despite my wishes for dresh content.

BTW, if you re-play the crash in slow motion, doesn’t it seem like Akiko-san teleported away just before the car hit her? She got spirited away to safety, hopefully. lol

@ Arcanes: The BS-I website has 26 episodes listed, but I have a feeling that 23 is the finale, 24 a recap ep. AIR-style and eps. 25-26 going OVA (straight to video release)…..I could be wrong though….

I really hope that the series lasts 26 episodes, that way we have more time for some Nayuki-ism in the later episodes after the accident (which ought to be renamed into Minase Nayuki no Yūutsu)!
