Next few episodes will detail Nayuki's story before Ayu returns for the finale. Assuming faithfulness to the game script, it's the only way to fit Nayuki into the anime. Her story requires Yuuichi to be socially isolated, and the period between Ayu's disappearance and reappearance marks the only time in Ayu's story where that is the case. By my reckoning:

episode 21 - semi Ayu-Nayuki
ep 22 - Nayuki
ep 23 - Nayuki
ep 24 - semi Ayu-Nayuki
ep 25 - other girls' conclusions
ep 26 - Ayu. Finale.

Or if KyoAni are going with 24 episodes:

ep 21 - semi Ayu-Nayuki
ep 22 - Nayuki
ep 23 - semi Ayu-Nayuki
ep 24 - other girls' conclusions, Ayu finale.

Logical way to structure the anime, given the necessary pause present in Ayu's story.

Need more Shiori-chan! And holy shit, Ayu-chan's moe factor tripled in just one episode! My sympathy goes to Nayuki though, she was totally spaced out looking at Yuuichi and he didn't even realize that. Looks like her feelings will never be returned in kind.

Damn, I still haven't bothered to watch it, but...

>>I’m still hoping that 25 and 26 might be new content though, perhaps more Nayuki-centric :P.

Same here, same here...

@ Flamestrike

"Kyo ani continues to impress me"

my sentiments exactly! :)

@ Haesslich:

The bath-tub scene helped me to realize that Ayu is in fact Yuuichi's age lol.....up until now the whole relationship felt a little Lolita-ish :P....

@ Kurogane

"so for now, all I can feel is an empty feeling of “Oh shi..!” more than touched."

I could be wrong, but I think that's what Kyo-Ani is going for......if anything...now I'm intrigued about Ayu's past......before she just seemed to be focused on getting Yuiichi's attention/affection and finding her "item"......which is easy enough to figure out by now :).....an emotional bombshell is sure to drop next week :)

Good episode all around.....but I think my hope of a Nayuki ending is fading fast! :(.......if not completely shattered

Kyo-Ani better have at least two episodes for her arc...I wanna know her story :)....not literally of course....no spoilers plz ;)

The only thing that sucks now is having to wait a whole week till ep. 21 lol :P

I think the bathtub scene is the ONLY time we've seen Ayu NOT look like a grade schooler. Which, to be honest, frightens the heck out of me - especially since it seems the headband and the outfit were designed to give her a younger look.

25 and 26 will probably just be DVD-specials like Kazehana in the original series, I guess.
