Sheer words fail me to describe how I felt this episode was, so let’s just say Kyo Ani kept on raising the bar higher and higher with every Kanon arc they’re doing now. This episode resolves Mai’s arc in a very awesome manner, and let’s just say I was left speechless for at least 5 minutes after the episode ended.
I realize it’s a bit late for “Year in Review” posts, but some inexplicable urge just compelled me to write this out. Possibly attributed to my current holiday I guess. In anyways, I suck at ranking things, so this is not a “Top Ten” styled post, but more of a focus list of shows I thought best represented the year that was 2006 for me.
Yes, I listened to the flash the whole time. No, I didn’t watch the Flash the whole time. Yes, I had nothing to do really. No, I’m not mad. Yes, this can be counted as one of the most “WTF?!” things I have done. I was aiming for 48:00:00, but the desire to watch Code Geass 12 overwhelmed me.

Yui Horie sugoii~~! Her loli~loli~ voice is a formidable one and certainly fits her persona well. Purely worth a watch for her voice.
Not forgetting too Aya Hirano as Mei Etoh. God I love her tsun-tsun voice.
Now let’s just hope ufotable doesn’t pull another “Gothloli Sucktime Show” on us again.
There’s a flying horse in Kyousora. For real. There’s a goddamn flying horse in Kyousora.So after YFR, we have flying horses, eh.
Oh man… I so had to resist the urge to tsukkomi like 500 times throughout the episode… everything seems so… over-the-top cheesy, like for example this scene…
But then, this _is_ Kaishaku we’re talking about here…. so I guess we can expect more over-the-topness, ahaha~. They’d better have more YFR or something even better!!
Oh, and the OP is so… out of place, it’s like seeing Galaxy Bang! Bang! used as Kanon’s OP. Never did like Coorie at all. The ED was OK though.Can’t wait for next episode… Chika.., I mean, Kaon-sama makes her appearance!! Wai~! Wai~!

Mai episode… but Akiko Jam scene stole the show, admiteddly.
..culminated with me crying throughout episode 11 and 12. Plus I rewatched 12 twice, just to cry again, especially at the aforementioned scene, when Aozora kicks in, so did my tear glands too. The power of Kyoto Animation and Key is not to be underestimated.
Really some shows have to be watched marathon-style to be fully enjoyed and for the emotional impact to kick in. Back when I followed AIR when it aired, I did feel sad at the ending, but I didn’t descend to crying all out. But now rewatching the whole show again really makes you feel it…
P.S. This is now on my wish list.
Whee~~ it’s debuting tomorrow! Can’t wait for more Chikane-chan… oops, I mean Kaon-sama this time round. And Himek.. Himiko better not be as whiny as she was in KnM.
Also, YFR must be in order. Ever since the infamous act perpertrated in the Kannazuki no Miko manga… I cannot see flutes are mere musical instruments only…. *bangs head on wall repeatedly*.

Really shows much the influence of anime and manga have spread in Japan. If I ever decide to get a car(in spite of the rising petrol costs…), I would love put some MILFate and Mizuho decals on them…. but I’ll probably get caught for flouting indecency laws ahaha~…
