“Important revelations must be discussed over random bath scenes.”

More “Haike, watashi no oujisama” hillarity. Gotta love Kuu, even if she’s damn irriting, ROFL. Kyosora now holds the title of “Most Hillarious Unintentional Comedy Series” in my book. I’m actually not disappointed at all there won’t possibly be YFR in the show at all!

Kyosora

KAWAII DESU! KAWAII OHIMESAMA DESU WATASHI NO OUJISAMA!!!

Yeah, I won’t disagree. Setsuna is kinda kawaii. The bath scene between her and Kuu was ROFL when she kissed Kuu… “KISU DESU! OHIME-SAMA NO KISU DESU WATASHI NO OUJISAMA!!”.

Kyosora

I pity the poor guy. He’s actually kind-hearted ROFL. Kinda funny to see him getting pushed around by the catgirl XD.

Kyosora

This fecking bitch NEEDS TO DIE!! Ahh~~ watashi no kawai sou no Kaon-sama!!

Yuri seiyuus~~

Hashihime’s newest blog post has reveal a lot of interesting news about seiyuus in Japan… notable ones include:

Nabatame Hitomi said in an interview about Strawberry Panic that she liked women, and with so many women in the cast she expected there would be some good ones. Naba-sama (30) is portrayed as a kind of queen bee of yuri seiyuus. Her character in Strawberry Panic seems almost written for her. Her character in Ichigo Mashimaro isn’t far off, either. The legend is that in real life her “first wife” is Itou Shizuka — with whom she has done a long-running radio show — and her lovers have been Noto Mamiko, Shimizu Kaori, and Koshimizu Ami.

Holy shit…!

Ueda Kana once said her secret fantasy was have a date with Toyoguchi Megumi.

Wow…

In a piece on Kashimashi radio, Shintani Ryouko, Ueda Kana, Tamura Yukari, and Horie Yui all tried to convince Asano Masumi that loving a girl would be all right. During a Christmas show, Masumin (Asano Masumi) asked Hocchan (Horie Yui) to become a “rezu couple” with her. Hocchan said “that would be great!,” hitting the table in her enthusiasm.

Real life imitating art?

On the radio show she hosts with Kawasumi Ayako, Noto Mamiko once announced her marriage to Sawashiro Miyuki . On the show last November, Ayachii asked Mami to marry her, and Mami accepted. One site said there is a term “Noto spacetime”: that Mami creates a certain atmosphere around her that is like a drug for young and old, male and female — but especially for women seiyuus.

Ayako-sama and Noto-sama… together?!! *faints*

And there is a story that Horie Yui and Tamura Yukari were naked together in the room they shared on tour. Intimate but platonic female friendships are hardly unusual, especially in Japan.

Hocchan and Yukarin?!! *faints again*

I hope I can survive this….

P.S. I’d be eternally grateful if someone could translate this seiyuu relationship chart..

Midnight Oratorio

Kanon

A powerful episode. Very powerful episode, with lots of character development. I am somewhat overwhelmed on what to blog about this episode, whether it be from the now prevailing Shiori arc to the development of the main girls left in the current story. I will just leave everyone to watch it by themselves.

I will mention one thing however, which is the meeting between Yuuichi and Kaori at night in school. The cinematography was absolutely fabulous, with sense of depth portrayed realistically using the falling snow, accompanying the major revelation concerning Shiori. That made me stop, in awe, for a moment, just to digest it. Looks like the tissues will see use soon.

Extra shot of Ayu and Akiko-san… it was so touching I couldn’t help myself..

Winter Season 06/07 so far…

Manabi Straight

Doesn’t feel like a post without a picture :D

Whee~~ 3 days without a post. Blame Megatokyo for it. It’s probably one of the most engaging series I’ve read. Largo is GAR, I say, GAR! Rest of the characters are awesome too. Goddamit! What is with Piro’s luck with girls llorz. I think I’ll go buy the printed books if I ever find them here :P.

Well, back to topic..

Saishu Heiki Ninjin Kanojo

Getsumen to Heiki Mina

Carrots, the Ultimate Weapon

So it seems with the right combination of genes, eating carrots allows you to henshin and gain mahou shoujo powers. Much more easier alternative then finding an injured ferret or opening a mysterious, untitled book with a picture of a winged lion in front of it, for the mahou shoujo wanna-be’s.

And I’ll hand it to Gonzo to spend their budget on a long, fully 3D CG sequence of two carrots being shot from the Moon to attach themselves some girl’s ass on Earth. Yeap, that was one great way of using the budget.

Hayate cast list announced

Hayate the Combat Butler

The Hayate cast list has been announced.

  • Hayate Ayasaki - Ryoko Shiraishi
  • Nagi Sanzenin - Rie Kugimiya
  • Maria - Rie Tanaka
  • Hinagiku Katsura - Shizuka Itou

Hmm… that was quite far from my earlier predictions :P. But still, this doesn’t sound like a bad list. Ryoko Shiraishi’s voice has a rough edge to it, so her voice would fit well with Hayate. Rie Kugimiya as Nagi is perfect, while Rie Tanaka doing Maria was surprising but she’s got a good track record of playing meido’s and her reputation is well known so no worries there. Shizuka Itou as Hinagiku is.. well, I haven’t had much experience with her other roles before, so I’m not sure how it would turn out to be.

Now to wait for the airing date announcement :)

EDIT: Here’s some promotional videos of the anime. The CM and long PV.

Also, listening to Rie Kugimiya’s Nagi… some what felt she isn’t too “sharp”… perhaps they animated the “deredere” scenes more. Also seems that the anime might have a lot of weirdness to it… hopefully they won’t stray out of the manga too much.
