With kanon ongoing + next series after that already decided + haruhi season 2 somewhen in 07

I don’t think KyoAni will be working on this since they have another series they’re working on once Kanon is over. I believe it’s called Lucky Star which is based on a 4koma manga.

If it’s Kyoto Animation…LOL DUNNO. They’ve never really went and done manga adaptions before, but I suppose they’ll have slightly better production values and faithfullness to the style. Though their chances of being the studio is probably closer to nill, seeing as how they’ve packed up with Lucky Star. I dunno how they’re going to compress the series though.

J.C Staff for all they are would probably cute-nize the whole Hayate series. Which is a good thing since Hayate is pretty light and comical without need of heavy dark tones. What they do with the script is what I fear of J.C though.

Sunrise would do the series justice, me thinks. They’re VERY solid in shounen adaptions, with Gintama, Y.Japan, Keroro, Kekkaishi all being very well-done shounen manga adaptions. They also like exaggerating manga-effects into uber-effects, like what Y.Japans anime puns was more ridiculously awesome than the manga counterpart. LoTR FTW. GO SUNRISE. There are anime ending issues though, but whatever.

BONES is Sunrise’s little brother, who’s just more artisticly endowed since they don’t do 3-4 animes at a time. Just don’t pull an FMA complete revamp or screw up the pacing like Juu-Oh-Sei and it should be solid as well.

The studio/cast that did School Rumble would also do a good job. We CAN’T have the best doing every anime in the world, can’t we?

Can you say “Ouran High School Host Club”? ’sides, Hayate is a shounen manga(according to the author).

Has BONES ever attempted a bishoujo-themed adaption before? They don’t seem to be the type to do this kind of work. Though then again they attempted to do a shoujo comedy with high successes so who knows?
