I actually like this episode for the visual gags. And after Love Hina, I sorta stopped expecting plot from Akamatsu. It’s like expecting deep, philosophical insight from Army of Darkness.

You and me both. Though I think most of the otehr fanboys won’t agree with another studio remaking an alredy successful series with almost the same story flow, or something

Ironically, in that picture, the hairstyle is pretty much the one thing that sticks to the original canon. (The character’s a girl, incidentally.)

I’ve always wondered how practical that sort of hairstyle is.

That’s a the most horrifying hairdo I’ve ever seen in an anime…Somebody should get him/her the best hairstylist from his place…Forget about that facial reaction, the hairdo’s the catalyst…

Not really… they did announce that Negima?! would be a spinoff… so let SHAFT do their magic, though I might not watch further in if it’s not in my taste.

Here, I can only beseech all Akamatsu fans to pray that KyoAni or Bones or J.C. Staff to take charge of a faithful to the manga remake of Negima!.

Shafting Evangeline sounds bad. I had the expectation that under the boat-throw and Narcissisus-on-ice slapstick defeats she suffered she was a fairly serious and potent character. Still, unless they run out of creativity or budget for the animation I’m probably not going to stop watching, so time will tell.
