Fap first worry later.

Otoboku

I had just finished watching Otoboku’s first episode and despite the whole “all-girls” school setting, which I have never liked before, I find myself interested in watching more Otoboku.

This is mostly because of Mizuho, who’s being voiced by the legendary Horie-sama, being “oh-so-faptastic” to me. Admitedly, I was scared to acknowledge that fact at first… but after a motivational talk by ThePaper in #animenano about his philosophy of “Fap first worry later.”, I have finally decided to come out of my shell and proudly admit the fact.So from now on, no matter who is it, if I find him/her hawt, I’ll just fap first and worry about whether it’s a him or her later. Ahh… suddenly life has become so much more fun.

My first thoughts after watching the first ep was “It’s a trap, it’s a trap, it’s a trap”. But because of Yui Horie being the seiyuu, can’t help but give in.

I LOL’ed. Fapping must be one of the safest sexual activities ever. How can you get STD from touching yourself?

    True… true…

I think script writers are just trying to fool us. Making an incredibly hawt girl character, then branding the said character with stuff like “was a guy” and “has plumbing underneath”… huzzah, instant trap. Really, they can just label any cute and moe girl as a trap, and just make up some backstory later.

    Ahh… who am I kidding….

Well, the problem isn’t that he makes a cute GIRL… it’s more that the other girls think he’s a cute girl, which suggests either that the school’s got problems, or else he’s really a she in the making.

Besides, look at the other girls who probably AREN’T traps (we hope) if you’re worried about Mizuho.

[...] Love or hate? The appeal of Mizuho, and especially Jun, is in the very fact that the viewers start out believing that s/he is a girl. We’re lured in…enticed…and fall face-first into the trap. So how are we supposed to react to this confusion? The same thing happened with the first episode of Ouran (albeit the other way around), and that turned out fine! Screw it, I say…others have also echoed this sentiment. As harem animes are meant to be lighthearted fun taken at face value, why should the characters be any different? This face tells me it’s alright! [...]

    Trapped by the Kurogane Doctrine

Jun is the main reason why I am still watching Happiness! Haruhi bores me to tears while the Ilya clone is irritating. Anri and Koyuki are cute but don’t have enough series differentation power. No wonder Happiness! is regarded as one of the two…

Is it just me or are there more traps (regular type or reverse) in anime these days?
If so I declare 2006 as year of the trap.

    p.s. Jun is best trap.

… and so, those who followed the Doctrine are trapped by the conflict between their own hentai desires and the reality. Time to see if they go the Higurashi route or the Kaede route of denial. ;)
