Kurogane: the scene's a literal rip of the end when Neo dodges Agent Smith's bullets in just that way. Of course, Paul does this in the manga during the snowball fight...

Speaking of which, there's a WAY more blatant Matrix reference in Episode 58, in the second half. Just look at Paul's dodges. ;)

Kurogane: The whole conceit behind the first Matrix movie was that the mind of Neo, or any human who was unplugged from the Matrix and then reconnected, controlled the reality of the Matrix around them... at least, the stuff the Agents weren't actively using. The 'there is no spoon' thing came about because one person was trying to explain to Neo that the spoon was a thing of the mind, and something whose existence could be reshaped or negated by one's will. So the "there is no spoon" reference is a direct ripoff of the quote where the speech about the mind controlling the spoon is concerned.

Haha, but I'd like to know exactly how the joke is funny. I don't really get it. Haven't got the time to go watch the Matrix.

@Maceart, yeah, Flash Spoon is awesome.

Out of all the Keroro gadgets that Kururu makes, I have to say the FLASH SPOON is one of the best, after powered Natsumi.

Kurogane: That joke about the spoon made the rounds of the Internet for YEARS. The Matrix has been referenced in various anime before as well, IIRC - there's almost no excuse for NOT knowing about it if you've been online for the past ten years.

Meh, sorry for not being able to spend RM10 per movie at the cinema. I always got blocked from watching the nightly movie runs, no thanks to "wake up early for school".

'sides, I'm more interested into anime than movies. I do watch some per se, but I don't follow them religiously. Only recently, I just watched for the first time, the Star Wars original trilogy.
