Well, ROD TV is from Read or Dream, which can be said as the sequel to the ROD saga. I’ve just read the first volume of Read or Dream, and I must say, it’s a very very fun read :). San-shimaiii~~ fighto!

I’ve only see the OVA featuring Yomiko Readman (which, from my understanding, is the 2nd to last part of the ROD saga while the tv series is the final part), though I do hope to watch it in the near future. The way you described it certianly intrigued me. ;)

Mmm… No wonder Yue looks like Hishishi so much.

As for spinoffs… I’d like to see more about Anita’s school life, maybe interspersed with the occasional book battles or so.

For now, I’m just really really interested in the manga and novels.

I’d more of a spinoff than a direct continuation. I really like their historical take on the random powers/secret agencies superhero setup, LOEG style, but to me the ROD name says ‘British Library, Joker, Gentleman.’

So, spinoff.

Did you know Ran Ayanaga helps Ken Akamatsu with Negima and Itsuatte My Santa?

I believe for Negima she (helped) created Yue Ayase and Koutaro. Apparently she was a former assistant artist of him.
