End of RE-TAKE

Yes, the wait is finally over and RE-TAKE 04 has been released, wrapping up one of the best doujins I’ve ever seen. A million thanks goes out to Anonymous Spore, who translated all 5 volumes from RE-TAKE 00 to 04, enabling us mere mortals to enjoy such legendary works.(P.S. Will you be translating anymore Kimigabuchi works?)

I won’t spoil off the ending here, but it’s safe to say it’s on happy and awesome terms. Now, let’s all hope the EVA remake movies will be as awesome as RE-TAKE, or even better, animate RE-TAKE itself :).

    The Soundtrack fits part 4 so well, it lasted EXACTLY as long as reading it. and that made the ending so much better.

    The influence Higurashi no Naku Koro ni has on this piece of art is… interesting, to say the least. Maybe it is setting new standards for storytelling.

    @SH: Totally.

    @Kuro: Actually, I swore to myself that I would never watch another EVA animation if it’s not RE-TAKE. Those Kimigabuchi guys rock so hard.

    btw, quoting 4chan:

    – Who was the little girl at the end?
    – Hanyuu.

    I think Sagematt was joking about that one, (I think). Ummm,I’ll copypaste the same theory that I ve put in the first topic of Eva RETAKE. here you go: SPOILERS TO NOOO END jiajia

    That little kid is no other than “another” person who decided to come back as a single entity (separated from the LCL soup). We have to remember that in the anime it is explain to shinji that anyone that wanted to comeback to life would remember how to do so (this occurs in EoE, before shinji returns). Being this said, this child is a “new born” (not necessarily related to shinji or asuka, if anyone thinks that….well I did for a little)

    Well, what do you people think?

    @LAFIEL: Thanks very much for the link!

    @ANONYMOUS SPORE: Thanks very much for the work!

    Excellent ending. Much more poetic than the brainfuck Anno gave us :P

    I just read all of the retake series and loved it, but I still have so many unanswered questions..

    In retake 4, how many of the infinite “worlds” are we seeing? It seems like its jumping around from story to story and I can’t follow whats going on. Like on page 132, whats happening there, is one of the worlds ending? And then on page 169, is that another world ending? And 191?
