This anime also makes me a tad bit *werid* feeling.
I am pretty much realizing that maybe I shouldn't have so many anime posters...and such.
I feel like a NEET even watching anime these days. lol
Oh well! This anime is making me want to go outside more.

NHK doesn't make me depressed - except the first one maybe a little. But I can relate very well to Satou's situation. Albeit his current situation doesn't seem so bad at least from the outside. For now he can really consider Yamazaki and Misaki his friends. Even his former could-have-been-girl-friend seems to be still interested in him. I believe in real life it would be much more difficult to find any friends once you've been like that for two or three years. Then again NHK also shows how rather trivial problems can destroy people. That's ridiculous and sad at the same time.

Though NHK is never dogmatic or educational and the presentation is extremely funny at times.

At least the manga has a reasonable explanation of why his appliances start talking. :-)

It doesn't get any worse, but it won't make you feel all that happy as the story goes along. Following the manga, it does tend to stick to the grimer side of things these days, not nearly as upbeat as the first few episodes/chapters are.

As for the topic of anyone being like the characters in the show...I doubt you are. It only applies to people with extreme reclusive behaviour.

I agree with you there. When I watched the first episode of NHK, I somehow can't stop myself from shivering, thinking 'Is this what I have become?'. Yeah, it has affected me... somewhat.

Man, oh man. It's shows like this that make me think back to those times, all the anime I've ever watched in my younger years. STO
