Damn tired after Bon Odori today yesterday. Post with pics will come out maybe tomorrow today.

Keroro… I seriously think it is the most otaku-ish show in existance, because alot of episodes are designed for kids but it holds alot of parodies with gundams and classical anime (Garasu no Kamen neone?)

Does anybody know what mech Giroro was piloting?

blaze: They do better Gundam stories than SEED and SEED Destiny’s Fukuda did. It’s about the only show Sunrise has done lately that’s turned out great. :D

Incidentally, according to the manga’s notes… Hajime Katoki himself did some of the weapons design for Powered Natsumi – so they got a real Gundam mecha designer to do some of the the Gundam tribute that Powered Natsumi represents.

Thank you, Doremi and Maceart, for putting this bugger out. :D

What a bloody stupid password. :D Points for trying to say it in English, though – even if Natsumi probably wouldn’t understand it.

Incidentally, that mech looks a bit like a Dougram from “Fang of the Sun Dougram”, whose clunky lines were stolen by the guys who put out the Battletech game (the Griffin and Crusader designs were taken from the Dougram and FX-4, IIRC).

Sorry, the F4X-Hasty. Incidentally, Dougram was a Sunrise series, circa 1981-1983. Thank you, MAHQ, for refreshing my memory.

To be honest, it felt like Sunrise was trying to make a Super Robot vs Mobile Suit battle with Natsumi vs Giroro. Giroro’s mecha was all clunky and huge, while… well, Powered Natsumi needs no explanation.

Haha, that’s what makes it so damn famous and funny. I’m all for it, and I gleefully await every new episode.

    >>What a bloody stupid password. :D Points for trying to say it in English, though – even if Natsumi probably wouldn’t understand it.

I LOVED the password, it was freaking funny as Giroro was the one saying it, as we all know he’s the one with the best taste in women in the show.

“Natsumi, my love. Kiss me tender and hold me tight!”…. fucking legendary.

You forgot the “Forever” part, Kurogane. Password failed.

It’s still a stupid password, especially if Keroro, Tamama, or Kururu had to say it to her instead of the one Frog who could do it with meaning.

Still, it was a great ep, especially since Keroro seemed to have forgotten he had effectively armed Earth’s Last Line of Defense with the “Ultimate Weapon”.

Ah crap… forgot about that… cut me some slack, I just woke up when I commented.

To be honest, I think they don’t actually need such a password. But then, why the hell are we debating this for Keroro Gunsou? It’s just pure mindless fun.

Kurogane: I just found it interesting that they used an English phrase for the password… and one that would so thoroughly embarass Giroro. You’d almost think this was a setup. :D

    Still… Powered Natsumi = love.

  10. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    It’s a setup. Definitely.

    Giroro deserves his airtime.

  11. Haesslich Said,

You know, if Giroro heard you saying that, he’d be trying to nail you with rockets, right about now – he probably didn’t want airtime like THAT. Natsumi time, maybe, but airtime? :D Between the Powered Natsumi thing and the “Seduction of Giroro”… he’s probably halfway to ‘death by embarassment’.

  12. Kurogane Shiroikaze Said,

    July 16, 2006 @ 3:26 pm

LOL. His “confession” is worth 10 Giroro barrages.

Sure, more Natsumi airtime is what most ppl want, but embarrased Giroro is fine too.

  13. Haesslich Said,

    July 17, 2006 @ 2:02 am

Just wait till you’re on the receiving end of a Giroro missile barrage. ;)

Powered Natsumi IS love, however. Definitely.

Sadly, powered Natsumi doesn’t play a major role until episode 102, and I don’t know when we’ll ever get there.

  15. Haesslich Said,

Maceart: Sadly, yes – the New Keron Force storyline was the original place that Powered Natsumi debuted (and ended)… but that’s some ways away. At the very least, I am hoping to see 66, since Ladholyman mentioned you have materials for up to 63 ready… and that’s just 3 eps away from the Natsumi/Koyuki date from Volume 11 (which itself was quite different from the manga version, given that Giroro had more time to fume and Natsumi actually referred to it as a date in the anime).

Wow. I feel honoured to have you comment her Maceart.

Let me just say that I really love you guys for breaking the Keroro Curse.

Actually, Powered Natsumi DOES make another appearance.. in Ep 82. See the entry at AoMM:

Makes another appearance before then, that is. But her main storyline is the New Keron one.
