Suzumiya Haruhi Closure.

Suzumiya Haruhi

I was a bit overwhelmed with words to start talking about the ending of Suzumiya Haruhi. It was a perfect conversion from it’s novel chapter for a start and even had a few extras that were tossed in to add in more win.

The whole episode had all the elements that made Suzumiya Haruhi a big success, from Mikuru’s cowering sounds, Haruhi’s tsundere-ness, Yuki’s stoicness, Itsuki’s weirdness and Kyon’s heroic feat of saving the world from being deleted. Even Imouto-chan had her appearance in this, and damn… she’s pretty cute. I’d like her to meet Yuzuyu from AishiBaby… too bad for no LOLFANG-tan, but I guess there’ll be plenty of chances for her next season.

So, as for now, I’ll have to deal with the absence of more Suzumiya Haruhi episodes every week and it doesn’t seem that the new season will have anything that can live up to it’s greatness, except for Hachikuro II. Also… over the course of Suzumiya Haruhi’s run, I’d like to thank a few people who made it enjoyable, the Haruhi novel translation team, a.f.k’s wonderful and consistent sub team, the people over at #SEKAIWOOOINIMORIAGERUTAMENOSUZUMIYAHARUHINODAN and the various bloggers and doujin artists who have made Suzumiya Haruhi so popular.

ACro: As much as I’d hate to admit it, yes, this is the last episode of the first season of the show. So far, no news about more Haruhi anime has been made, but expect KyoAni to announce it sometime soon before the legion of otakus burn down their studio.

Meanwhile, check out KyoAni’s Kanon remake to see if they made the right choice to make that rather than more episodes of Haruhi.

It’s going to take a while though before another Haruhi anime might be made though. First, there’s the KANON remake that’s due for release this fall, not to mention the fact that FMP COMO is sure to be next on queue. At the very best, we can expect a sequel by next year. :)

[…] I have nothing but praise for this series, and I’m very glad that Kurogane also thinks that a second season is highly likely. We’ll see in the coming weeks, but I hope so, I really, really hope so. […]

As long as they can follow the novels, they’ll probably do okay – the novels do, from what of them I’ve read, and what I’ve heard, a pretty good job at carrying the story across. And there’s quite a few more novels to cover, so it’s not like they’re going to lack source material. :D

:DI was so excited to watch the last episode at first, But as I got further in I began crying, at the thought of having to wait for a second season. This series was awesome from the beginning to the end. :( I’m praying to God( Suzumiya Haruhi :P) to see another season soon. I can wait forever, though that’s not really healthy. Well as Haesslich said there’s still a few novels to cover.

While we wait for the next series, you could always watch Yuki kick ass in MUGEN. XD
