[...] Since the manga had stopped just short of being hentai, I was really glad for the limited fanservice in the anime which served as mere garnishing to enhance the magical atmosphere. (Argh, I can’t believe I just labelled lolicious panty flashes as ‘magical’. I need rehab.) In fact, if the debut is any indication of the series’ tone, I would expect ChokoSis to be a sweet series focused on sibling love with some nice poignant moments. I had particularly enjoyed Onii-chan’s flashback. The crushing revelation at the hospital and the earnest bedside prayer were some of the best moments for me this ep. [...]

I was a bit worried about his anime, but the manga looks like it might turn out to be my kind of comedy. I do hope they don't accidentally slip in some incest though. Incest is bad. BAD INCEST!

That's the best part of the manga - he hasn't a bit of siscon in him (well, maybe a trace amount - certainly less than Stripey), and he's treating her like a sister, rather than some sort of object for a fetish, including making SURE she walks around with clothes, and keeping her from getting overly attached to him. And not ogling her - that's a big bonus there. And even the relationships aren't always happy, but they don't get overly melancholy either - the unrequited crushes aren't causing everyone to become suicidal, and he does care about his sister without thinking of taking advantage of her trusting nature and lack of understanding when it comes to human relationships.

There's still quite a bit of ecchi fanservice (although thankfully, it tends to be restricted to the landlady and his drunken neighbor), at least in later volumes.

I agree, I was put off by the subtle perverted fanservice, but as long as they keep a true brother/sister relationship, it's very cute and the characters are likable.

I think Stripey wrote that book, myself, to judge by some of its contents... and I honestly think that he should follow up this series, since Jason Miao advertised it himself. :D

If they keep to the manga storylines, they should be fine - at least Haruma has a spine, morals, and a crush worth crushing on... and not everyone's after his affections, which makes it more 'real' than some stories I can name...
