God knows…

The CD is out! YAY!
LOST MY MUSIC is so far my favourite. Yeah, Aya Hirano sings pretty nice actually.

Post was supposed to be up earlier but delayed as today was the start of my classes. I’m pursuing a Degree in Knowledge Engineering, which is quite a new subject in my uni. Kinda sad to see only 3 ppl, that I know of, taking the same degree _|-|0”. On the plus side, I was genuinly suprised today, as in my Technical Communications class, the lecturer actually used the Animesuki Forums as an example of a online forum.. Continue ->

I LOL’ed. Hard.
The funniest line I’ve heard this week…. coming from a loli summore. Funniest episode to date too. I have never laughed so hard at Renge’s appearences like this week at all. Not to mention that Yuji Ueda’s voicing of Nekozawa-senpai reminds me hard of Morita-senpai.
Ouran truly deserves it’s place in the Holy Triumvirate of Spring ’06, along with Oharuhi-sama and Killer Loli’s.

Yep. The major event this week was the end of Fate/Stay Night. So far, F/SN was a rollercoaster ride, with it’s Archer-gar UBW highs and the lack-of-Rin lows, but it was a good ride to the end.
The past few episodes built up nicely to allow Fate/Stay Night to have it’s glorious ending(not really all to glorious actually, but meh) and the ending is a very nice closure to the anime, even with it’s flaws. But I am still troubled over the Bedivere character (voiced by Noto Mamiko!), who seems to look like the spoofs in 4chan. That is some ugly character design. Thank god it only appeared in the last 5 mins.
The ending itself is probably the 2nd best episode of the series (with Archer vs Berserker being 1st. You can’t beat the guy who lost the battle but gained a whole legion of fans). Being more of a Rin fan, the parting between Saber and Shitrou didn’t affected me much, but I still felt the emotion from those two. It was also good to see Taiga and Ilya providing comedic fun for the last 5 minutes and I have to pity poor Sakura. Rin… well, she had her tsundere-ness in full measure for her 1 minute, leaving me a satisfied (BUT not happy) man.
Next up. I would love to request that Heaven’s Feel be animated, with the NORMAL ending. Oh, and Planetarian should be made into a movie of some sorts.
The awesome Haruhi translation team has done the “Live A Live” chapter translation over at their site.
Reading halfway through it has already given me at least 10 moé overloads and LOL’s, no thanks to the extreme pervert and sarcasm god that is Kyon. I and him need to meet up someday. Or maybe not. I haven’t been this close to man love since Hazumu.
So, of course, I can’t wait for the awesomeness of Mikuru and LOL FANG-tan’s(she needs her own series dammit!) waitress uniforms, of which the original image from the novels graced the screens of my PC monitor for a long long while. But the other attraction would be for a certain someone performing on stage. Not only that, the character development, which I have mentioned to be very screwed right now thanks to the episode shuffling, of that certain character is there as well. Sunday come sooner please.
P.S. : I have gotten myself spoiled on a brief synopsis of the Haruhi novels until Vol. 6. Do not, I repeat, **DO NOT** go get yourself spoiled as well. I am already banging my head on the wall for my utter inabilty to read moonspeak. Tanigawa Nagaru is a genius.

So it turns out that poor Satoko-chan is actually a victim of abuse by her so-called uncle. Oishii-san and Takano-san seem to be much more evil in this arc, while the Kantoku is being presented as the “good guy” for now. Quite a lot of emo facial distortions by Satoko this episode, and I’m very surprised, scared and a bit of respect on how her mentality is like, coping up with the torture by thinking that it’s all a trial she must pass. And either she’s pretty darn strong for a 10-yr old, or K1 is anorexic.
Keiichi gets spoiled on the rumoured origins of the curse this time earlier on and goes off to “borrow manga” from Mion, asking her to befall the curse on Satoko’s bastard of an uncle this year. Henceforth, “borrowing manga” = “I know you’re the mastermind of a serial killing racket and I want you to kill someone”.
Now, to wait for the body count to increase. Ending with a collage.

Finished off playing… ops, no, reading the English version of Key’s Kinetic Novel, Planetarian.Feeling kinda melancholic now.
Why do kinetic novels have to be so sad? They always reduce me into reluctant, touched, tears and melancholic moods, but then, I’ve only read this and Narcissu, so there might be less sad ones around.
I’m still waiting in great hope for the purported release of the Tsukihime English version and exponentially lesser for the F/SN one. Meanwhile, perhaps it’s really time for me to start seriously learning moonspeak.

Yuki episode this time. Thanks to the efforts of the Haruhi novel translators, I got spoiled ahead, so I practically knew ahead what to expect. But I still had an enjoyable time, thanks to the funny additions KyoAni sprinkled around in the episode.
First off, in the CG sequences, the bridge crew for each of the SOS-dan fleets were different. Haruhi had a fair share of space alien types, Mikuru has the cat-with-a-manly-body things as hers, Yuki’s bridge bunnies were all clones of her and Itsuki’s ones are Henohenomoheji men. Suspiciously, we don’t see Kyon’s one. Maybe his bridge bunnies are all Mikuru’s, not surprising coming from him. His pervertness seems to have increased lately. Oh, there is a big Gundam reference as well :).
The Yuki camp would definitely love this episode, as it is her character development episodes. I found her pretty cute, in her own stoic way this episode and it seems that KyoAni has somehow made here much more warmer than she was in the previous episodes. And damn! She really defined multi-tasking this episode. Poor keyboard though, hope it’s those new replaceable ones. Should’ve let her use an external USB keyboard :).
KyoAni’s habit of perfection is way on top this episode as well. Notice how detailed they drew the Ethernet and VGA ports, not to mention the DOS command prompt windows and the WinXP look. Though I wonder why they chose to put Epson as the spoof brand of choice. Does Epson manufacture notebooks? I also wonder how much did they spend on the CG for this episode. Looks so detailed that I suspect that it must’ve been prepared a long time ago.Maybe for a spinoff perhaps? Oh, and any doujinsoft groups want to make Iteza no Hi III? I’d gladly play it.
Well, can’t wait for the next episode though. Gakuen-sai episode with tons of Mikuru and LOL FANG-tan as well and the Haruhi translators seem to be starting up on the novel chapter as well. I really love the outfits they wear for the school festival though. Looks very elegant and pure, not fanservicey. I guess there’s enough fanservice every time Mikuru does her meido routine and when Haruhi cosplay rapes her.

Ahh~~~ she so cute, and Tamura Yukari is using her voice to her utmost potential.
First off, <3 to WinD for releasing ep.9. This marks the start of the Tatarigoroshi-hen, where Satoko is poised to be main focus this time. This arc is also quite famous for single-handedly establishing the Suki Suki Satoko faction and I would love to see how.
The short prelude that follows the start of every arc is much less gorier this time, but still as shocking as the rest. This time round, we jump to the time where K1′s parents leave him home alone and he’s forced to make his own dinner, but almost burns the house down if not for the timely appearence of Satoko-chan. I’m starting to feel the force of the SSS here.
Other stuff happens as well, as the disappearence of Satoshi is clearly told here, as well as the death of Satoko’s parents. Kantoku, who was mentioned briefly in the first arc is revealed to be a pedo as well, and he turns out to be the doctor and the manager of the baseball team.
This arc also seems to contain less on the funnies, although there is still that Keiichi with a golf club part, and seems to be much more serious and tragic in tone from the previous ones. Rena is back with her emo facial distortions here, which we have surely all grown to have love (and fear) for.
Random and funny screencaps from the episode to follow :

Soooooo cute~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m surprised at the choice of *seiyuu* for Haruhi’s dad. Never expected Takehito Koyasu to voice him. Well, better than some high-pitched, real okama wannabe voice. That would turn me off Ouran, as good as it is.
I want more Haruhi episodes. The rest of the cast do not appeal to me, esp. the twincest brothers. At this point, I’d rather watch angsty-ness that looking at those two sexxor each other up, or Hani-sempai bitching about cake.
Let’s just say, yaoi turns me off faster that the time it takes for the light to go off when you turn off the switch.
