Canvas2 shocked me, in a good way. :) Also, I would not call Canvas2 a Harem series. It is more of a… guy who happens to be surrounded by lots of girls, most of which have no romantic interests in him( and in fact prefer to torment him).

Most of them will end up trying to play matchmaker, but who ships for who, I leave that to your viewing experience. ;)

It is a cut above the average Harem, but at the end I still felt Hiroki was a prick.

Canvas2 was a pretty good series. There’s something about it that puts it slightly above other more generic harems, don’t know exactly what it is though. Fun characters too! Hope you’re enjoying it!

I accidently (that is I couldn’t stop my eyes from reading..) read how the show ended over at Hop Step Jump and wasn’t happy with how it ended so I’ve had the last two episodes lying on my HD forever. It was one of my top shows before I read that entry. Not saying the ending was bad or anything (from what I read) I just didn’t like the results. :P

Any anime with more than 2 girls showing interest in the male lead (+10 points for being a PUSSY) automatically qualifies to me as harem.

That being said, yes, it isn’t really the normal type harem. I’d put this as ren’ai harem. Maybe I should start a topic about the different types of harems.

I love Canvas2, I think it was a very good, but oft-overlooked series. I loved Elis the whole way through ,and like you said, I love how the characters aren’t perfect, and how they’re all very real-seeming. In addition, it’s not a harem type, really. You’d think so, from the cast, but it’s much simpler, and much better, I think.
