I think I read somewhere that IV was actaully the first part of a three part storyline? If thats true (and I am not sure) then that might mean they will wait untill all three books are published and make an anime from the three books like they did with the original Crest of the Stars. I strongly suspect that III was animated for the sole reason of creating a bridge into IV, for in my opinion, III is a great book on its own, but it was not a good story to be animated, and the OVA was little bit worse than I expected. There are new novels being published so the original matieral isn't lacking. However, being a pessimist I think the chances of that are low for the forseeable future. Bandai/Sunrise is probably just gonna make more crap like GSD so they can sell more toys and rake in the cash rather than a more niche series like this. Besides with the way they ended SnSIII it looks like they plan on putting the series on hiatus. Well all SciFi fans should hope for more this this series.
