It's probably before your time, Kurogane: Any Epson computer gear I've seen is from the 1980's, with the latest appearance of one in the early 1990's - a monitor, to be exact.

That's why. Over here, at my place, Epson is more famous for their printers rather that their laptops.

BrianTT: It's a tradition with manga and anime - to avoid copyright issues, they tend to change names a bit: Sony turns into Pony, EPSON turns into ESPON, and so on.

And Kurogane: Epson used to make computers and monitors over here - I've seen them, but not in years. They still do manufacture them for Japan though:

Voila! I haven't seen one of these in years, myself - not since the last time I was in that neck of the world.

Regarding the use of Epson on the notebooks, I downloaded the HD Raw just now and instead of Epson, it's ESPON. Maybe a little play on words regarding a certain Esper? Eh, maybe I'm pushing it.

Also I noticed other than the usual Windows icons in the background, there was also Google Earth on Yuki's desktop. Thought that was interesting.

Definitely a nice Yuki episode.

I'd say it's more likely that Yuki likes the game because of the micromanagement parts and the programming things. Computers, if I must say, can be said as efficient data management and execution machines. I'm guessing that Yuki just likes to play around with it.

Zyl;Haesslich: Yes, wouldn't we all like to see the Mikuru Bridge Bunnies :).

Zyl: that's an EXCELLENT idea. Meyrin Hawke, Maya Ibuki, Ruri Hoshino, maybe a 'Mariyu Ramius Bouncing Chest' version... oh, and "Crest of the Stars" variations. :D

Ah well - it appears that even Yuki has hobbies; which are, in this case, beating the absolute crap out of everyone with a limited number of units. Gee... didn't she do that last week too? :D

Mikuru Bridge Bunnies... I'd like to see that. In various uniform styles: Meyrin Hawke, Maya Ibuki, Ruri Hoshino etc etc.

No, not a magalomaniac but the heart of a RTS gamer. RTS old school doesn't require killer graphics but instead... micromanagement, multitask, macro, queue and pathfinding. (Resource management taken out of this game though).

...

Oookay. So, beneath that cold exterior, lurks the heart of a megalomaniac with a Borg-fetish? ;)

Still, Yuki episodes aren't anything to complain about... although if anyone else clicked on the Novel Translation link above, am I the only one who's kinda disturbed to see Yuki doing the same sort of 'nyah!' eye-tugging thing that Haruhi was pulling in Ep 9?
