I gave up on this series three episodes ago. A shame because it really was so promising. :(

[...] I’m sure loli-siscon fans rejoiced as ep 10 spent quality screentime on the sweet, shirt-tugging Ilya. I must admit I viewed Ilya with great suspicion initially. When she first appeared acting so saccharine, I thought Shirou is doomed for a 2nd death at her hands possibly via diabetes. The mental alarms blared even louder when she claimed, “I don’t have any enemies.” which extrapolates for me, “Because Berserker has them for supper.” (Btw, I’m still trying to figure out what’s Ilya/Berserker’s common trait although both Kabitzin and Hasselich have offered some possibilities.) However, her innocent demeanour and love for taiyaki eroded my defenses rather quickly. Yes, I’m weak to taiyaki-loving-lolitas as Kurogane is to tsunderekkos. :) *Dreamy sigh* Yet another lovely anime personality to look forward to weekly. [...]

very true eurys...

anyway, you know, at first I really like this anime... I mean, the animation quality and the basic story line is kinda original.. I've never seen anime like this... sigh.. however, every time the anime momentum is up, they always destroy it... either with too much chit-chat, outer disturbance, or they change the scene too fast... sigh... it's so sad..

and yeah. .tohsaka is freakin adorable... my friend just bought the 20cm action figure for tohsaka.. omg... I could even see her underwear.... nice, eh?

I finally saw the sub...
God it is boring! I'm sorry but the training sequence? The poor traumatized loli? Completely cliche and useless.
BUT Rin and Archer are really the strenght of this anime. Especially the conversation between Archer and Shirou. And why don't we see more interactions between Rin and Archer? Gah, such a missed opportunity!

There's slow in the good way, like ARIA(haven't watched neither YKK nor ZS, so I won't comment about that). Then, there's slow in the boring way, like F/SN now.

I mean, it's all fine to see Shirou going, "Oh, I want become hero of justice, no killing plzzz~~" for one or two episodes, but Shirou has been repeating this for the past few episodes, without any signs of him really helping much to stop the Grail War.

It's also freaking annoying to see him disturbing all the battles as well, right when they're at their climax, like the last episode with Saber vs Assassin. I was promised hawt swordgirl action for this series, but what I've seen so far is Shirou acting totally useless and interfering with the action.

Then and again, I haven't played the game yet, and I picked up this series, solely on the amount of fanboyism it's generated, so I can't compare how different the anime is from the manga. I guess it's the lack of Rin this week....

I think there's a weird tension going on here: if the show is lame and driven away all but its fanboy audience, (to paraphrase Genshiken) why would they make a fanservice episode for a game that's already pornographic?

I think even if Rin just showed up for three minutes an episode it'd be enough to keep me watching, she's one of the best tsundere characters I've ever seen.

Although 10 eps are gone, 26 episodes is a long time--just think of Da Capo, the whole first half plus it seemed like nothing was really going to happen, and it still finished with the best ending I've seen in a game-to-anime series. I'm sure FSN will take a turn for the dramatic at the end, but I haven't found it boring so far. Although I really like YKK and Zettai Shonen, and compared to those FSN is action-packed, so maybe it's all relative.
