I'm just glad we got a Tomari-focused episode which fleshed out the backstory a bit - it's nice to see Tomari do something besides running off or looking wistfully at Hazumu, even if it was shoving Hazumu in Yasuna's direction, or the final almost-confession in the last scene. I’m just glad we got a Tomari-focused episode which fleshed out the backstory a bit – it’s nice to see Tomari do something besides running off or looking wistfully at Hazumu, even if it was shoving Hazumu in Yasuna’s direction, or the final almost-confession in the last scene.

I'm guessing it's meant to be comic relief but it's really creepy. I did like how the Hazumu-Tomari backstory was fleshed out in the anime. Felt a bit skimpy in the manga which also made Hazumu more passive in the bride-groom exchange. Yeah, Hazumu’s dad is becoming seriously disturbing.
