At school, the class is having swimming lessons, while various flashbacks bring us back to the events of the pre-flashback arc, which is a nice touch I should say as it reestablishes the tension of the various affairs around the class. Jumping to a floating island, not unlike the Tendokyuu, Shudonai is consulting with Belpeor and Hecate(**Noto Mamiko-sama!!!!**) about the recent events and the existance of Yuuji.
Back home, Shana dispatches Yuuji and Alastor for training while she herself asks for Chigusa’s guidance on making a *bento* ^_^. Yuuji reaches the riverbank to spot people putting up stuff for a upcoming city festival. He contemplates on bringing Shana to it, while Shana at home is failing splendidly on the cooking classes.
The next day, Yuuji detours to a local *konbini* as he doesn’t want to take Kazumi’s *bento* anymore to avoid her misunderstanding. However, he runs into her while he comes out and she asks him to come to the festival with her. We don’t get to hear his response, but he later reveals that he accepted it.
After school, Kazumi’s heading home and she bumps into
MerihimKamshin. He asks her for her help and reveals everything about the Torches and the Guze. She follows him and collapses later when she thinks about the possibilities of her family being Torches. MerhimKamshin assures her that her family is safe and she asks him about Yuuji….
At night, Shana and Yuuji are having their usual training session when they’re interrupted by Marjery who’s felt the presence of the new Flame Haze. Marjery reveals to them about the Ball Masque, a powerful organization of the Guze no Tomogara and Yuuji may have to leave the city as the Ball Masque will most probably come after him to make sure the city will not become collateral damage. At the Ball Masque, a green Torch appears while in a desert, Wilhelmina senses the change and decides to head over to Shana’s place after she’s done with her current work.
God… a so totally wonderful episode of Shana this time round. The new OP, being , is great to listen to and it gives off a total feeling of *kakkoi*-ness with the awesome sequence of Shana facing off Shudonai. I almost died when I heard Hecate though. It’s unmistakably Noto-sama, although I can’t confirm it yet :P. She did only speak 3-4 words only. I’m pretty lucky that the *yukata* Shana didn’t came out this episode, as I was forgetting to breathe already when Hecate came out and I’m darn sure I’d just totally collapse if *yukata* Shana appeared.
Other than that, the producers did an amazing job of transitioning back the story from the flashback arc to the one before it. A lot of development is in this episode, in fact, so much I couldn’t put it in my summaries for fear of making them too long.Safe to say, most of the characters had their share of screentime ;).
Kamshin is a pretty enigmatic fellow, coolly walking up to Kazumi, asking for her help and dropping the bombshell of the existance of the Torches and Guze no Tomogara. His *seiyuu* is doing a darn good job of his flat tone I must say.
Next episode would be the festival, Shana in a *yukata* and the attack of the mad scientist Guze no Tomogara with his mechanic Rinne. Safe to say, I’ll be pretty much in fanboy mode next week too. No screencaps yet fot this episode, I had some technical problems with taking the caps. I’ll upload later if I manage to fix it. Meanwhile, enjoy the screencaps of the 2nd OP.
***EDIT:***Fanboyism alone will not gurantee sanity. Spelling mistakes corrected. Need morrrreee sleeeep…. zzz.
