Gundam Seed Destiny Final Plus

Well…. just watched finished it. Basically, it’s just an extended version of the final episode. But as what Omni has said, it doesn’t really save the whole series from mediocrity.

Anyways, the extended sequences really give more depth to the fight scenes of the final episode. There’s more of them, and for the first time in watching Gundam Seed Destiny, I don’t feel like I’m watching a rehash/reangling of previous fight scenes.

Some resolution is given in this episode, with ORB and Plant signing a peace treaty (I think) and also it seems that Lacus-sama is in the PLANT Council.Kira and Shinn also get introduced with Shinn turning crybaby again :P.

Still…. Gundam SEED Destiny isn’t really one of the best shows around to watch. If so, anybody who hasn’t watched it, should be warned that there’s really tons of flashbacks…. enough for even Gundam SEED non-watchers to understand what happens in SEED just by watching SEED Destiny. Replace episode 50 with this episode though, much more better to watch :).

I guess the best things to ever come out of SEED would be Lacus-sama, Lunamaria-chan and Meyrin-chan. God darn it, they really hot, especially Lacus-sama in battle kimono…… Ah…. why aren’t there local shops selling their models :(.

The battle kimono rocks, but otherwise I agree about the trainwreck that was GSD even if for some reason I actually looked forward to the new episode every week if only because I like explosions :)

Lolz. Well… I’d purely followed it till the end just because I really had nothing much to watch at that time. Until the end…. GSD is stilll realy a big flop :(.

I rather liked the first series. It has a good plot and storyline and had a meaning that could relate to “modern-day” (ie. racism, war). As for GSD, I felt it was a big let down. I wanted to know what happened between Cagalli and Athrun, and I felt that Cagalli was way stronger in Seed (cagalli is my fav character). She was over shot by simple and virginal Lacus. Oh, well, what can you do? With the way the OVA ended, my love for the gundam seed franchise has ended. I just wanted to know what happened with Cagalli and Athrun dammit!!! (wait, isnt Meyrin under age???)

@what? : All I have to say is different people have different tastes. Also, I didn’t really say I hated Cagalli. She’s just not as favoured as I do for Lacus and the Hawke *shimai*.

@fantasymaiden: Quite true perceptions. I kinda pity Cagalli anyways. She did’t really get much screentime as her fellow SEED compatriots did in SEED Destiny. The SEED franchise raises some nice issues about war (but then again, all the Gundam series’ do that too :P) and also quite some memorable characters.Well, maybe the rumoured 3rd SEED series (which although everyone says they’re not gonna watch, but they’ll still do) might be able to save the SEED franchise. Hopefully, they change the director :P.

GUNDAM SEED DESTINY is actually a really good show. And anyone who hates it shouldn’t even complain. I bet they can’t draw any better than the person who draws gundam seed.

hmm i thought that phase 50 was quite disappointing, especially when they leave so much to be explained. Anyway, we share the same opinion when u said that Lacus in a battle kimono is uhm well, hot :P we could only wish there were real life people who looked like that

well… i hate gundam seed destiny.. and that I think, We have the right to complain. Such good art is wasted in such a flop story. LIke all the characters are so naive and stupid as if they haven’t experienced war before and then they go start doing it again… with the same sap reasons like: coordinator versus naturals. It makes you think that all the effort and sacrifices in the seed, is gone down the drain. I mean, for God sakes, they already experienced 2 years without war and they start it again? LIke it is some toy. Admit it, GSD was and will always be a fan-based series. Nothing serious and consitentent comes out of it.
Li : I have seen/known people who draw better than the one who makes GSD.. so i think we really do have the right to complain.

I find that GSD served as a good reminder of modern day political scenarios as they unfold. But then again maybe I’m thinking too hard about it, or my Poli Sci professor finally got to me about war being a driving force of society.

If you happen to have read the 48 laws of power there are a lot of subtle ways that many of the laws are being used to maintain societal structures.

I really really love the SEED series since I was in Grade 6 and now that I’m a 2nd year student, even though I am a girl, I still love it!!! Some of the people’s critisism hurts Kira-sama rules over Shin! woooh! Lacus-sama rules! I only have ZGMF X-20A StrikeFreedom and it took me 2hrs and 10 minutes to build it! I hope another SEED comes out! It rules! It just does!
