Well, sit back and relax for a round of fanservice involving the whole cast ^_~.
Shana and Yuuji are walking to school in the middle of the summer heat. Yuuji starts to complain about the heat but Shana retorts back, saying that summer IS hot and starts to berate Yuuji on his lack of improvement in his “training”.
In class, Shana and Yuuji find Ike is handing out tickets to a “Waterland”-style amusement park, thanks to his father. He gives tickets to both of them as well. Yuuji is pretty excited about it, making Shana jealous and she storms off, but not before taking a chance to take a jab at their tannin no sensei, commenting that his tie looks gay.
Later, Shana comes back during lunch hour, with a large haul of meronpan…. from the neighbouring town’s bakery (^_^);;;;. Kazumi-chan comes over and with a little nudge from Ike, invites them to have lunch together. Kazumi tries to invite Yuuji to the Waterland, but is too embarrased to do it, even with Ike’s help. Ogata-san, their classmate, comes over and invites them all to go there this Sunday. Kazumi is surprised but happy ( her “minna te…. minna?” is soooo damn cute…..). Oga-chan also invites Tanaka and Eita, but they both decline.
That said, Oga-chan and Kazumi go shopping for mizugi’s while back at Yuuji’s place, Chigusa-san gives Shana a one-piece, which Shana tries it on-the-spot…. with Yuuji right beside (^_^);;;. Shana promptly kicks poor Yuuji out, with Alastor in hand, who reprimands Yuuji.
Finally, on Sunday, everybody gathers in front of the “Waterland”. Kazumi notices a poster advertising a couple’s kibasen competition. Everyone gets interested in it, with Kazumi wanting the dinner for two while Shana going all out for the all-you-can-eat meronpan.
Meanwhile, Eita and Tanaka try to cheer Margery up by taking her around town, but instead they end up at the Waterland, after Margery spots it. There, Eita and Tanaka run into Oga-chan, who gets mad at them and forces them to enter the kibasen. Margery bumps in to Shana and Yuuji, and after confirming that she isn’t looking for a fight, Shana and Yuuji leave her alone.
The kibasen starts with Yuuji and Kazumi in one team, while Eita and Shana are in another. Both of them do pretty well and with the competition almost at an end, Shana aims for Kazumi’s headband. Yuuji desperately tries to escape from Shana but in the end, they self-destruct when Eita gets too tired from Shana’s slave-driving skills, ending up with their headbands with their homeroom teacher, who’s also in the competition as well, suprisingly.
Finally, everyone goes home and Kazumi looks on jealously, when she sees that Yuuji and Shana are heading off in the same direction, arguing ( I wonder what happens when she finds out that they’re both living together :).
Geh.. went a bit too far with my “Summary”, haha. Anyways, pretty funny fanservice episode with all the action going on. Here’s my high points of the show:
– Shana eating her meronpan again.
– Shana calling the teacher’s tie “gay”
– Kazumi’s “minna te… MIINA?”
– Shana changing in front of Yuuji
– The eyecatches.
– The kibasen
Nothing much has devleoped, plot wise, but we get to see more of Kazumi’s concern and jealousy over Shana and Yuuji’s relationship, which has been growing along the series. Also, a new character is introduced, Ogata-chan, who’s pretty funny and cute too. She seems to be the boisterous and *genki* type and is actually quite likable.
Artwise, this episode sees a degradation of quality, especially on the first half as seen here, here and here, but the second half is much more better, which really shows where the budget of this episode went in to (^_~).
In anyways, there’s not much else to cover anyways and the next episode, “Karamaru Omoi (Entwined Emotions)” seem to involve a new Tomogara and a continuation of Kazumi-chan trying to hit on Yuuji-kun.
