Watch out, moy!!

In “Outrageous News of the Day” No.2, Funimation has just served a C&D to Akadot for importing FMA OST’s from Japan.

Apparently, even importing the real original stuff from Japan constitutes a copyright infringement, creating some concern in Matt, who (as everyone knows) imports stuff straight from Japan. Hopefully, Funimation won’t read you blog, eh, Matt.

Much more of my concern is moyism, who’s legendary among us for being the “Avatar of the Goddess of Spending”, and imports enough stuff to just be a bit short of opening a full fledged anime merchandise shop. Though a C&D would seriously help him out a lot.. financially, if you get my drift.

Well, more reasons to ditch the States and go the Japan, haha.

You’re giving me too much credit here kuro. There are plenty of other high ball spenders than me on anime; I just complain about it more than them ;)

I also doubt any US company will be suing companies based in Japan where I (and many others) get 90% of my anime stuff. It’ll be another story if I bought the original japan version at some US retailer, but that’s bloody unlikely considering how much they usually jack the price.

Personally the Funi C&D just goes to show some companies want to make as much money as possible, even if want they do go against common sense. All one has to remember, above all else, is that the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR RULES ALL. ;)

Hehe, that’s a relief to hear, but still, a C&D would be quite beneficial for you, ROFL.

I agree with you on that.

Sadly, I have to agree with you again T_T.
