I love the anime too though... to the point, in the manga suiseiseki accepts jun as master somewhere in the second (maybe it was the third) volume, which is long before the barasuiseki (that's the one with the rose eye, isn't it? ) is introduced... The whole story around Suiseiseki and her (younger) SISTER Souseiseki is different in the manga...(yes she is a girl and in the japanese manga often refered too as suiseiseki's 'imouto'(younger sister), certainly before they meet) really, the only thing that's the same is that they are separated and suiseiseki thinks about souseiseki's master as bad guy... Hina want to send letter to say her feeling of gratitude to Jun, then Suiseiseki told her, post box is scary creature that eats peoples, so sending letter is thing that human do risking their life ^^; while the vacuum is about Hina and Seki-aneki want to show their thanks to Jun by cleaning the house and prepare meal, though things got terrible.
