uwaaaa, your so lucky being able to watch the episodes, I hired some on dvd, but the place were I did only had the first 4 ones (untill the episode where shinku gets her arm back and suikintou dies) can't see it on the tv as my host-family (I'm on an exchange in Japan) doesn't have the right channels ;__;

anyway, I bought all the manga's and read them too, of course, they're very good too, if you can read most of the kanji (or take the time to look them up.......) they get even better... I love the anime too though...

to the point, in the manga suiseiseki accepts jun as master somewhere in the second (maybe it was the third) volume, which is long before the barasuiseki (that's the one with the rose eye, isn't it? ) is introduced... The whole story around Suiseiseki and her (younger) SISTER Souseiseki is different in the manga...(yes she is a girl and in the japanese manga often refered too as suiseiseki's 'imouto'(younger sister), certainly before they meet) really, the only thing that's the same is that they are separated and suiseiseki thinks about souseiseki's master as bad guy...

It's true too that suiseiseki tells hina about the postbox in the extra story in volume 4, but on a different occasion she also tells hina that the club nori goes to is a dangerous, life risking sport....

one more thing, great blog ;)

the letter is probably the extra side story from book 4 after Souseiseki is down against Suigintou. Hina want to send letter to say her feeling of gratitude to Jun, then Suiseiseki told her, post box is scary creature that eats peoples, so sending letter is thing that human do risking their life ^^;

while the vacuum is about Hina and Seki-aneki want to show their thanks to Jun by cleaning the house and prepare meal, though things got terrible.
Deko-chin is left unnoticed though.
