Nori leaves for her lacrosse practice and puts Suisuiseki and Hina Ichigo on *rusuban* duty. Suisuiseki takes the chance to make up a story that Nori’s actually going to a dangerous FFA game, leaving Hina Ichigo and her getting all worked up and cheering “Banzai, banzai, banzai” for Nori.

Jun, tired of studying, decides to take a break and asks Shinku what’s she’s reading, to which Shinku lies to her saying it’s a alchemy book, resulting in a funny scene. Suisuiseki and Souseiseki are watching them, and they voice out their concerns about the Alice Game. Suisuiseki, in a rare show of affection, doesn’t want to become Alice and wants them all together, just like now. She decides to find a master in order to defend Sousuiseki.

After bidding farewell to Sousuiseki’s Master and her wife (who funnily refers Jun as *chibi-ningen*), she departs and tries to find someone using the phone directory and making calls to people, introducing herself as a *kawaii imouto* XD.Sousuiseki finds her and Suisuiseki finally agrees to go to Jun’s place.

After a few embarrasing moments and a painful one for Jun, Suisuiseki runs off followed by Sousuiseki. As it starts to rain, they take cover. Noticing Jun running past by, Suisuiseki gives Jun her umbrella and mentions about the *keiyaku*, taking Jun by surprise, angering her.She takes off, but Sousuiseki stays with Jun to explain everything.

Meanwhile, Suisuiseki takes cover in a dog house, only to overhear Kanaria’s comments about meeting Barasuishou at Jun’s house earlier. She takes Kanaria along and warns Jun and Sousuiseki. While back home, Barasuishou makes her appearance in front of Shinku and Hina Ichigo.

Rushing back home, Jun and the others are too late. Kanaria directs the group to the puddle where Barasuishou appears and they all jump into the portal to reach a concert hall.They meet up with Shinku and Hina Ichigo when suddenly, the Laplace Demon appears and does a running commentary of the dolls and annouces that the Alice Game’s starting.

They are then treated to a ghastly puppet show of the dolls fighting each other. Everyone is traumatized by this, particularly Shinku, until Suisuiseki shouts out and Jun tells them to snap out of it. Barasuishou appears then and starts to attack them.

Shinku, still traumatized, has no will to fight and Sousuiseki tries to break Barasuishou’s *kekkai* but fails. Finally, Jun decides to make the contract with Suisuiseki and with Jun as a medium, she manages to pin Barasuishou down, leaving them time to escape.

Safely back, Sousuiseki is leaving for the night, hearing out Suisuiseki’s instructions for her. Souseiseki assures that she’ll be here tommorow as well, so she doesn’t need to worry. At night, Jun wakes up to see Suisuiseki still not asleep and reading his textbooks , albeit upside down. Jun asks if she finds it interesting and reads it to her when she says so.

Opinion

Not too much action than I had expected, but a pretty good character development one for Suisuiseki. Even though having the temperament of a kid some times, she still has some mature parts in her and she definately cares for the others, although always acting as the “wicked” one among them. She’s also developed some feelings for Jun, even if she doesn’t want to admit it.I do wonder though, what will happen to Jun, supporting 2 dolls together. It would pretty much take a lot out of him.

As for Shinku, she’s still in trauma about “killing” off Suigintou, evidenced by her lack of motivation to fight against Barasuishou, after watching the puppet show. I guess the animators are putting her in the sidelines for a while, as they expand the rest of the cast, notably, Sousuiseki and Suisuiseki. She better get her act back soon though, I miss her *ojou-sama* parts, though the rest of the cast are being quite entertaining as well.

As for Kanaria, she seems to be still trying to “ambush” the gang, even though she hasn’t really shown her powers yet. I wonder if she’s made a contract already? She was awfully weak while they were fighting in this episode, having done nothing. I do pity her, being left behind by the gang when they ran off :). She was pretty hillarious, even though having limited screentime.

Next episode preview seems to be some hijinks involving Suisuiseki and a vacumn cleaner. I still remember on the first season, Episode 5 was the infamous staircase war episode, so I wonder if the production crew can top that with the vacumn cleaner ^_-. The episode title , Der Brief, means “The Letter” in German, so I wonder what else would be happening ;).

    the letter is probably the extra side story from book 4 after Souseiseki is down against Suigintou. Hina want to send letter to say her feeling of gratitude to Jun, then Suiseiseki told her, post box is scary creature that eats peoples, so sending letter is thing that human do risking their life ^^;

    while the vacuum is about Hina and Seki-aneki want to show their thanks to Jun by cleaning the house and prepare meal, though things got terrible.
    Deko-chin is left unnoticed though.

    uwaaaa, your so lucky being able to watch the episodes, I hired some on dvd, but the place were I did only had the first 4 ones (untill the episode where shinku gets her arm back and suikintou dies) can’t see it on the tv as my host-family (I’m on an exchange in Japan) doesn’t have the right channels ;__;

    anyway, I bought all the manga’s and read them too, of course, they’re very good too, if you can read most of the kanji (or take the time to look them up…….) they get even better… I love the anime too though…

    to the point, in the manga suiseiseki accepts jun as master somewhere in the second (maybe it was the third) volume, which is long before the barasuiseki (that’s the one with the rose eye, isn’t it? ) is introduced… The whole story around Suiseiseki and her (younger) SISTER Souseiseki is different in the manga…(yes she is a girl and in the japanese manga often refered too as suiseiseki’s ‘imouto'(younger sister), certainly before they meet) really, the only thing that’s the same is that they are separated and suiseiseki thinks about souseiseki’s master as bad guy…

    It’s true too that suiseiseki tells hina about the postbox in the extra story in volume 4, but on a different occasion she also tells hina that the club nori goes to is a dangerous, life risking sport….

    one more thing, great blog ;)
